Gaelic Life team of the week

WHAT a weekend it was with the leagues in full flow with scores and incidents bursting from games across the land.

Here is our selection from games involving Ulster teams.

1 SEAN MCNALLY Fermanagh

His scores were crucial in the epic comeback against Sligo, but some important breaks and distribution too as Brewster roared.

2 JASON MCLOUGHLIN Cavan

So many interceptions, especially at stages when Cavan were tiring. Crucial in the win over Down.

3 KATIE LYNN Antrim

Repelled countless Westmeath attacks as Antrim’s strong start continued.

4 NIALL DEVLIN Tyrone

Shut down Shane Walsh almost completely from play – should have led to the win but it wasn’t to be.

5 DILLON MULLIGAN Cavan

Scored 1-2 in the famous win over Wicklow.

6 LIAM GLACKIN Cross & Passion

A rock in defence as Clonmel continually tried to find a way back into their Paddy Buggy semi-final.

7 CONOR MCCARTHY Monaghan

What a season he is having, and that continued in the dramatic win over Louth.

8 DONAL HUGHES Down

Scored 2-2 from the middle as Down swatted Tyrone aside

9 ANDREW MURNIN Armagh

A warrior, as Dublin found out in spades.

10 DÁIRE Ó BAOILL Donegal

Has started the season on fire and was fantastic in the comeback win over Derry.

11 JAMES MCDONNELL Antrim

Star of the show as Antrim won the Ulster MHC against Down.

12 GABHAN McIVOR St Patrick’s, Maghera

Three points from play as the Derry school booked a Croke Park date.

13 AINE MCALLISTER Derry

A hat-trick to her name as Derry eased past Kilkenny in the league.

14 CHARLIE MCARDLE Armagh

A very tidy 1-2 helped Armagh to a much-needed win over Sligo.

15 NIAMH REEL Armagh

Star of the show on her own club patch in Silverbridge as Armagh moved closer to a Croke Park return.
