Gaelic Life team of the week

HERE was another weekend of action in various grades and codes – club and county.   Here is our selection of the star players from games involving Ulster teams.

1 Eoin Gallen – MacCumhaills
Made vital saves in their draw with St Michael’s.

2 Eugene McEntee – Crossmaglen
The Armagh underage player had a fine game against Madden and was involved in one of the Cross goals.

3 Ronan McNabb snr – Dromore
Led by example as Dromore beat Loughmacrory, including a vital intervention.

4 Fionan McIntyre – Cavan
Gearoid White is Kerry minors’ key man and McIntyre did an excellent marking job on him.

5 Rueben Carleton – St Brigid’s
Kicked two pointers as the reigning league champions overcame Cargin.

6 Ryan Mohan – Truagh
Played a starring role in curbing Ballybay’s attack and kicked five points in the process.

7 Diarmuid King – Newtownbutler
Scored 1-2 from wing back in a fine team performance against Donagh.

8 Callum McGrogan – Newbridge
A fine game in the engine room as the ‘Bridge overcame Glen.

9 Meabh Mallon – Tyrone
Tyrone turned the tables on Down and Mallon was a key player in the key areas.

10 Eimear Fitzpatrick – Down
Her 1-5 was another shining performance but it wasn’t enough to keep Down in the championship.

11 Peter Colton – Tyrone
The star man as Tyrone minors beat Cork to secure a semi-final spot.

12 Joe Leape – Four Masters
His 1-1 and overall play was important in their draw with leaders Termon.

13 James Hamilton – Armagh
Three goals shot Armagh minor hurlers to the Celtic Challenge title.

14 Ciaran Chambers – Bellaghy
His 1-3 included a late dramatic winning goal as the Tones beat Faughanvale.

15 Ronan McKillop – All Saints
Kicked vital scores as the Ballymena men built up a winning position against Ahoghill.
