Holmes appointed as new Burren manager

BURREN have appointed three-time All-Ireland winners Colin Holmes as their new senior football manager.

He was part of the management team under outgoing managed duo Eoin McCartan and Stephen O’Hare.

Lorcan Martin (coach) and Frank Dawson (development coach) are part of the management team under Holmes.

Holmes is a previous Tyrone minor manager and was and was part of the senior set-up under Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan.

He has also played a key role with Dungannon Clarkes when they won the Tyrone SFC in 2020.

The Burren senior ladies management team has also been announced with Collie Campbell, Sean O’Hare, Aiden Woods, Paul Fegan and Carol Mackle forming the team.

“We wish both sets of new management the very best of luck for the season ahead,” read a club statement.

“They each bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and combined with their enthusiasm for connecting with our squads, there is great excitement amongst the players and the committee.

“We hope that all our members and the wider community will join us in congratulating and welcoming the new management.”
