ARMAGH gave their survival hopes a massive boost last weekend by beating reigning Division One league champions Kerry, but they aren’t out of the woods just yet.
They are currently fourth in the table, but if they lose away to Meath this weekend, who are also in danger of going down, they will be relying on results to go their way.
Aimee Mackin made her long-awaited return to the Orchard County fold against the Kingdom, kicking four points, while the likes of Kelly Mallon and Lauren McConville have been playing some awesome stuff.
Cavan have been the in-form team in Division Two and have already booked their place in the league final, stringing together a six-game unbeaten streak to reach Division One for the first time, and they host Westmeath this weekend.
Who they face in the final is the big question, and James Daly’s Donegal will hope to secure that final slot when they face already-relegated Wexford at Letterkenny on Sunday.
Tyrone can still gain promotion, but they would need to beat Tipperary away from home and hope both Donegal and Mayo slip up in round seven, against Wexford and Monaghan respectively.
The Farney County are safe and can’t gain promotion to the top tier but can do their Ulster rivals a massive favour on Sunday by beating Mayo and knocking them out of the promotion race.
Division Three is a straight shootout for promotion between Down and Antrim. Louth are already up, and into the league final, and whoever wins at Páirc Esler will join them in Division Two next year.
Fermanagh, who will finish midtable, end their campaign on home turf when they host pointless Limerick and should be able to pick up a final-day victory.
