Ulster U-20 FC quarter-finals

Derry 1-11 Cavan 0-7
Monaghan 1-15 Armagh 0-13

DERRY and Monaghan booked their semi-final spots on Wednesday night with wins over Cavan and Armagh.

At Owenbeg, it was 1-4 from Oisin Doherty who pushed Derry into a position of control with James Murray doing a fine marking job on Bre3ffni ace Darragh Lovett.

Cavan hit the first two scores before five on the bounce had Derry in their way to a 0-8 to 0-4 interval lead.

When Doherty bagged the game’s only goal in the 42nd minute there was no way back for Cavan.

In Armagh, it was 0-10 from senior star Stephen Mooney that paved the way for Monaghan’s win with Bobby McCaul finding the net.
