Saturday, Clontibret, Truagh

TRUAGH are in must-win territory now with two games remaining, but Clontibret look like the only team that can stop Scotstown, and they’ll have their eyes firmly set on topping the group.

Verdict: Clontibret

SCOTSTOWN V CREMARTIN

Saturday, Scotstown, 6pm

CHAMPIONS Scotstown are unbeaten from their first two outings while Cremartin have nothing to show for their efforts. That record is unlikely to change on Saturday afternoon and it should be another win for Scotstown.

Verdict: Scotstown

GROUP 2

MAGHERACLOONE V BALLYBAY

Sunday, Magheracloone, 2pm

BALLYBAY earned a huge two points the last day out against Aughnamullen while Magheracloone have zero points on the board. Another defeat would leave Damien Feeney’s men in huge trouble so they’ll be hungry for a win.

Verdict: Magheracloone

LATTON V INNISKEEN

THIS game will more or less decide who finishes top of Group Two so it’s all on the line. The two unbeaten teams will look to extend their record and John McEntee’s Inniskeen may just have the edge.

Verdict: Inniskeen

MONAGHAN INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND FOUR

Sunday, Drumhowan, 2pm

DOOHAMLET earned their first win of the campaign in the last round and will be eager to back it up. Drumhowan have no points on the board at the minute and will be hoping home advantage works in their favour.

THIS is the meeting of two of the championships big hitters and the winners here will more than likely top the group. Donaghmoyne are just down from senior and that wee bit of experience could stand to them.

Verdict: Donaghmoyne

GROUP 2

MONAGHAN HARPS V KILLANNY

Saturday, Monaghan, 3pm

KILLANNY are still unbeaten in the competition, following a win and a draw, while the Harps head into the game off the back of a defeat. A home win could provide some momentum if they can get over the line.

Verdict: Monaghan Harps

CLONES V CASTLEBLAYNEY

CASTLEBLAYNEY are unbeaten after their three championship outings and will hope a win on Saturday will secure top spot. Two draws from two outings sees Clones on two points and they look to be up against it here.

GROUP 1

EMYVALE V CURRIN

Saturday, Emyvale, 3pm

EMYVALE are the only unbeaten team in Group One and they look like a safe bet this Saturday afternoon. Currin will pose a few questions but the home side should come through.

Verdict: Emyvale

SCOTSTOWN V SEAN MCDERMOTT’S

Sunday, Scotstown, 5pm

THE rest of the teams below Emyvale are all on two points so Sunday’s encounter between these two is of huge importance. Home advantage could just swing a game that will be decided by small margins.

Verdict: Scotstown

GROUP 2

BLACKHILL V AGHABOG

Saturday, Blackhill, 6pm

JUST one point separates theses two teams in the group after the opening two rounds of championship action. There may not be much between the team in the end, with Blackhill just edging it.

DESPITE losing the last day out, Eire Og are still top of the pile going into this one. Rockcorry are just one point behind them however and will look to hop over their opponents with a win on Sunday.
