Mourne memorabilia call

DOWN GAA have appealed to clubs and fans to submit memorabilia that could be put on display at the county’s proposed Centre of Participation in Ballykinlar.

The Mourne county have already received programmes, convention booklets and photographs, and are hoping that more is uncovered in the coming weeks.

“The search is on for match programmes, newspapers and photographs or any material relevant to the GAA in Down which we hope will then find a permanent home on display in our planned new facilities in Ballykinlar,” Mourne secretary Seán Óg McAteer said.

“So, we ask people that if you come across any materials that you think might be of use then please contact Down GAA (07739700705) and we would be delighted to collect from you.”
