PORTGLENONE have appointed former Tyrone star Mattie McGleenan as their new manager.
He takes over from John McKeever who steered the Casements to a league title and the 2024 championship final where they lost narrowly to Cargin.
Eglish man McGleenan had a two-year stint in with the Cavan senior team and steered Scotstown to back-to-back titles in Monaghan.
His backroom team has yet to be finalised but it will include Darnell Parkinson who was in alongside Joe Feeney at the helm of the Armagh ladies team.
Portglenone lost this season to Dunloy in the Antrim semi-final but had a successful year at underage level.
The minors won a first ever championship title and have been drawn to face Ardboe at St Paul’s in December.
A core of that team helped them to the u-16 title and they’ll also be in action in Ulster in Dromore’s Paul McGirr Cup.
Following on from the news of Rory Kavanagh stepping down from his role with Glen, Sleacht Néill are also looking for a new manager after they confirmed Mark Doran has ended this three year at Emmet Park.
