THERE are three crunch games on this weekend in the Cavan championships.
CAVAN SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS
Gowna v Crosserlough
Sunday, Kingspan Breffni, 3pm
GOWNA missed out on last year’s final but they’re shaping up nicely and produced a ruthless performance in their quarter-final win over Cavan Gaels. Crosserlough weren’t overly impressive against Arva but they could have a big performance or two in the locker. Tough to call.
Verdict: Gowna
Ramor united v Kingscourt
Sunday, Kingspan Breffni, 7pm
KINGSCOURT came from 12 points down against Ballyhaise while Ramor edged Mullahoran by three points in their respective quarter-final clashes. Kingscourt have had a really strong campaign but we’ll give Ramor a hesitant nod to advance to another final.
Verdict: Ramor united
CAVAN INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL REPLAY
Butlersbridge v Cornafean
Friday, Kingspan Breffni, 2pm
THESE two sides meet again after playing out a fairly low-scoring draw last weekend. Butlersbridge were slow to get going, but with Caomhin O’Reilly back in the fold, they can get the job done at the second time of asking.
Verdict: Butlersbridge
