THE quarter-finals of the Cavan SFC are down for decision with Crosserlough putting their title on the line on Friday night against Arva.
CAVAN SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER-FINALS
Crosserlough v Arva
Friday, Kingspan Breffni, 8.15pm
DEFENDING champions Crosserlough finished in pole position in the group stages and are big favourites to account for an Arva side that slipped into the last-eight.
Verdict: Crosserlough
Gowna v Cavan Gaels
Saturday, Kingspan Breffni, 7pm
CAVAN Gaels have played very well indeed in their last two games to qualify for the last eight, but it won’t be easy to progress further in the competition with Gowna standing in their way. It could be a cracker but we’ll give Gowna the nod.
Verdict: Gowna
Kingscourt Stars v Ballyhaise
Sunday, Kingspan Breffni, 6pm
KINGSCOURT Stars have been going well and will take confidence from their draw against Crosserlough at the weekend. They should have too much for Ballyhaise.
Verdict: Kingscourt Stars.
Mullahoran v Ramor
Sunday, Kingspan Breffni, 6pm
RAMOR couldn’t get the job done against Gowna last weekend but the main thing from their perspective is that they made it through to the knockouts. Mullahoran have been going well, but have conceded fairly heavily.
Verdict: Ramor United
