THE semi-finals of the Derry Senior Hurling Championship will be decided this weekend with the final round of group games.
Here are Sunday’s fixtures
DERRY SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 3
GROUP A
Kevin Lynch’s v Na Magha
Sunday, Kevin Lynch’s, 2pm
KEVIN Lynch’s won the minor title last week and will be hoping to build on their second-half performance against Sleacht Néill. Na Magha started well against Lavey but this is a stiffer test.
Verdict: Kevin Lynch’s
Sleacht Neill v Lavey
Sunday, Sleacht Neill, 2pm
THE champions have two wins from two and will have eyes on another to top the group. Lavey have 10 players in their early years of senior hurling on the back of underage success. They might have to blood them further in the junior grade.
Verdict: Sleacht Néill
GROUP B
Banagher v Ballinascreen
Sunday, Banagher, 2pm
THE game of the weekend. The result from Swatragh will have an impact too. Ballinascreen have won both games with Reece McSorley’s hat-trick the key to victory over Swatragh. They face a trip to a Banagher team who are struggling for form. A tight call here.
Verdict: Ballinascreen
Swatragh v Eoghan Rua
Sunday, Swatragh, 2pm
THERE is no margin for error for the ‘Swa after losing to Ballinascreen in a group with three clubs vying for two semi-final spots. Swatragh will be favourites this weekend against Eoghan Rua who are destined for junior.
Verdict: Swatragh
