SEVEN of Tyrone’s All-Ireland winning minor team have been named on the Electric Ireland team of the year, including player of the year Peter Colton.

This year’s campaign  once again delivered a season of captivating drama, exceptional talent and one packed with plenty of minor and major moments as Electric Ireland reflects on their 14^th year in partnership with the GAA.

The semi-final stage of the championship saw two enthralling contests: Tyrone, after a quickfire double before the break, kept Roscommon at arm’s length to secure their final spot. In the other encounter, Kerry emerged victorious against Mayo, with momentum shifting repeatedly before a late surge from the Kingdom sealed their win. The pinnacle of the season, saw Tyrone claim the title after a hard-fought battle against a formidable Kerry team, edging them out by a single point in the final contest at Cedral St Conleth’s Park.

In this year’s Electric Ireland Minor Star Football Team of the Year, the two finalists, Tyrone and Kerry, dominate the selections, accounting for 13 of the 15 spots. Tyrone players take seven places, reflecting their championship victory, while Kerry has six representatives on the squad. Semi-finalists Roscommon and Mayo each have one player featured on the prestigious panel.
