IT was another weekend of county action with teams getting knocked out while others made a step into the next round.
Here is our selection of Ulster’s star players.
1 Ethan Rafferty – Armagh
Saved a penalty, kicked frees and raced forward for a fine score from play against Galway.
2 Diarmuid Baker – Derry
Did an excellent job on Cormac Costello who had been lively the week before.
3 Lee Cullen – Fermanagh
Another strong performance in the heart of the Erne County’s defence in their win over Sligo.
4 Cormac Quinn – Tyrone
Got forward to support Tyrone’s all action game as they eased to top of the group.
5 Ryan Wylie – Monaghan
In a high scoring classic with Down, it didn’t overly suit defenders but Wylie made a couple of vital blocks at important times.
6 Ross McQuillan – Armagh
A bit part player last year, McQuillan put in another brilliant performance. Their player of the season thus far.
7 Caolan McColgan – Donegal
Tracked Aidan O’Shea but got forward to support the attack. Took his club scoring form into the county with a fine point.

8 Odhrán Murdock – Down
A monster performance from the big Burren man but it wasn’t enough to overcome Monaghan.
9 Michael Murphy – Donegal
Another day, another important performance. It was his response to the error be made for Mayo’s goal that shows his resolve.
10 Ethan Doherty – Derry
Three points and three assists against the Dubs was one of the reasons why Derry stood toe to toe with Dublin.
11 Pat Havern – Down
Kicked score after score for Down, some of them cracking scores to takes his season tally to 0-99.
12 Mícheál Bannigan – Monaghan
He applied a neat finish for Monaghan’s goal and was involved in much of their overall play. Makes them tick.
13 Eimear Smyth – Fermanagh
Bagged scores as Fermanagh ladies picked up an excellent result against Roscommon to book a quarter-final spot.
14 Darren McCurry – Tyrone
Kicked nine points as he ‘dazzled’ in Tyrone’s win over Cavan. One of them would’ve graced any occasion.
15 Caitrín Dobbin – Antrim
Scored and made goals as the Saffron camogs kept the hammer own on their season.
