Ulster GAA’s Flagship Cúrsa Gaeltachta

TÁ cúrsa Gaeltachta CLG Uladh, Cúrsa de Faoite ar ais sna Dúnaibh le linn an tsamhraidh. Beidh an cúrsa ar siúl idir 6-10 Iúil i mbliana, le ranganna ó mhúinteoirí éagsúla a bhfuil táithí na mblianta agus saineolas acu maidir le cúrsaí gramadaí, filíochta, litríochta, saibhris agus go leor eile.

Is cuid de chonair na foghlama é an cúrsa seo, agus tá sé mar aidhm ag CLG Uladh deiseanna foghlama agus labhartha araon a chruthú dár mbaill. Tá saibhriú teanga ag croí an chúrsa agus na ranganna féin, ar ndóigh, ach tá imeachtaí iontacha ar na bacáin taobh amuigh den tseomra ranga: ceol, léacht, agus go leor eile. Reáchtáiltear imeachtaí oíche an chúrsa go dátheangach, agus cuirfear fáilte roimh chách chuig clubtheach CLG na nDúnaibh ar na hoícheanta sin.

This course is traditionally made up of five class levels: bunrang, meánrang íochtarach, meánrang uachtarach, and ardrang x 2. These levels allow us to cater to all abilities, to introduce the language to complete beginners, and to curate lessons that challenge our proficient speakers across the organisation. Our evening events are designed with a GAA element, to allow our attendees to immerse themselves in both learning and speaking Gaeilge, as well as the other cultural aspects of our association.

l Ulster GAA’s flagship Gaeltacht course for adult learners, Cúrsa de Faoite, is back in Downings, Dún na nGall between the 6th-10th July 2026. We are looking forward to welcoming attendees, both old and new to na Dúnaibh this year. Applications are now open, and you can access all the information associated with the course by visiting our website www.ulstergaa.ieculture and the Conair na Foghlama Learning Pathway section, or by contacting Ulster GAA’s Oifigeach Gaeilge ciaran.maguidhir.ulster@gaa.ie.
