John Morisson says the best managers encourage players to grow, ask questions and take resonsibility for their actions.
He says that one of the best managers to do this was Alex Ferguson, who managed English team Manchester United.
“Alex Ferugson was seen as Strategic, rational and systematic.
“He planned meticulously while taking resonsibility for all that he did.
“He sought to provoke questions which would produce a mindset of doing things to the right standard.
“And his system was one in which all players played their part by asking questions that led to doing the right things, and they also too responsibility for their actions.”
Morrison explains what ‘Doing the right things’ questions are, and outlines how these questions help players to grow.
