John Morrison turns his attention to self confidence in his current Gaelic Life column.

He suggests a number of techniques that players can use before and during a game to make them feel more at ease, and also strengthen their confidence to make sure they get the best performance.

However, he also suggested ways to put opponents off their game:

“Find out from video; playing against before; from others, etc, the things that your opponent ‘hates’ to be faced with.

“Make sure you use these ‘weaknesses’ to make him/her lose their temper or to stand off in fear. Either way they lose control.

“Make it an aim to have every opponent you face be substituted because of you exploiting their weaknesses.”
