Kevin Cassidy is predicting a fractious and ill-tempered All-Ireland final.

The Donegal columnist was delighted by Dublin’s performance in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final last weekend, when they put on a brilliant performance to beat Kerry, 0-22 to 2-14.

In his column in this week’s Gaelic Life, he extolls the virtues of the Dublin team, and looks forward to their All-Ireland final with Mayo. However, he also says that ‘bad blood’ that exists between the two finalists and that could make for a tension-filled clash.

“The scary thing is that Dublin can improve on that display, Cluxton won’t implode like that in the final and Brogan,Kilkenny, Flynn and Connolly were relatively quiet by their own high standards so Mayo will have their work cut out.

“I’m told their is some serious bad blood between these sets of players on and off the pitch so that will only add to the occasion so roll on the 18th of September!”
