A good diets needs to be consistent
Pauric Grimes, in his column this week, has ten tips to help you achieve your fitness goals.
One of those is Consistency.
He says:
“Five good days and two bad days isn’t going to help you move forward.
“If weight loss is your goal and from Monday to Friday you’re in a calorie deficit, for examples sake we’ll say of 500 calories, but at the weekend you take a few drinks and eat your bodyweight in pizza and find yourself in a calorie surplus of 1500 calories per day…well, you’ve not only undone all the work you put in during the week but you’ve found yourself in a weekly calorie surplus of 500 calories.
“All in all, that means no weight loss for you.”
