Pauric Grimes has suggested that if athletes change their preparations in the lead up to the championship then they are risking doing more harm than good.

Grimes said that there are those who think that they have to change their diet, or their work out. But he says that these things could lead to a poorer performance on game day.

“I hear about so many people who go out of their way to do something different just because “It’s Championship”.

“They get up earlier and get a big breakfast in them. They do extra stretches. They drink more water. They essential try and fix something that isn’t broke, and in doing so they potentially do more damage than good.

“If you have a routine that works for you, stick to it.”
