McGrath staying on in Aghagallon

By Michael McMullan

PETE McGrath will remain in charge of Aghagallon for another season the club have confirmed.

The St Mary’s club were beaten in the final in 2021 and ’22 and McGrath will remain at the helm in a bid to get them over the finish line.

It comes after the news of Ronan Devlin staying on as manager of champions Cargin.

Devlin, part of the management team under Damian Cassidy, stepped up to take over as manager helping them take their impressive run to seven titles in the last nine seasons.

John McKeever will stay on as manager of league champions Portglenone as they chase championship glory.

Joe Cassidy, who steered Glenravel to the league and championship double last season, has taken over at Creggan.

He takes over from Gerard McNulty who oversaw their march to glory in 2021.

Last year’s beaten finalists Dunloy will again have Anthony McQuillan in charge of their footballers with Gregory O’Kane remaining in charge of the hurling team.

Donagh Finnegan remains as the St Paul’s football manager. Hugh McGettigan also stays as the football manager of their Shaw’s Road neighbours Rossa with Christopher McDonnell in charge of the club’s hurlers.

Aaron Douglas will remain in charge of the St John’s footballers in 2024 with the hurlers under the watch of Michael Johnston.
