Tony McNulty has stepped back from the management role this year, and Michael Johnston has take over. The team has not changed much from last year. Everyone is back from last year. The issue for St John’s is that they have not had enough time to get prepared for the season properly. Johnston said: “Anyone who thinks that they can get a team up to championship pace in a couple of weeks is either delusional or never managed a team.

I am delighted that the GAA people in Antrim and the players and their families that there are going to be games. But I am cautious and aware that I won’t have players available to me.”
