CJ plotting return to winners’ enclosure against Keady

In this week’s Gaelic Life, CJ McGourty chats to Odhrán Crumley ahead of St. Galls Ulster Intermediate club final against Keady in Pairc Esler on Sunday.

McGourty speaks of how the success of both codes in the dual club has driven the success and fitness of the players.

“The more games you get, whether it is football or hurling, helps you fitness wise and in terms of match sharpness, so that is the way we look at it as a club.”

The Belfast club came through a tough semi-final clash with Swatragh to set up their first final since 2009 in the very same venue against Armagh opposition. Once again the Antrim attacker is expecting a very tough clash with the game going right to the wire.

“A lot of people are saying that in this game it will only be a point or two either way and I’d have to agree with them.”
