Armagh clinch All-Ireland Junior crown

Armagh 0-17 Cavan 0-15

After losing finals in 2021, 2022 and 2025, Armagh finally got over the line in the Premier Junior All-Ireland final with a two point win over Cavan.

It was fairly nip and tuck throughout the encounter, although a scoring spree at the start of the second half allowed Armagh to hold their Ulster opponents at arm’s length.

The Orchard County led by the minimum of margins at half time, 0-9 to 0-8, but hit five of the first six points after the turnaround to put them in a commanding position.

To Cavan’s credit, they never kept battling and put the Armagh defence under serve pressure, but the Orchard County stood up to the test.

Player of the Match Corinna Doyle finished the game with 0-3 Rachael Tranior top scored with 0-6 while Sinead Quinn also got 0-3. In all, seven different players, including the entire forward line, got on the scoresheet.

For Cavan, Roisin O’Keefe really carried the fight in the first half and it was Eimear Brady’s accuracy from frees that kept them in touch throughout the second half.
