Derry name team for Croker showdown with the Dubs

CHRISSY McKaigue has not been listed in the Derry squad for Sunday’s NFL Division Two final with Dublin in Croke Park (1.45).

McKaigue made an appearance in last week’s draw with Cork from the bench before being forced off with injury.

Eoin McEvoy wasn’t in the panel for Wednesday’s u-20 win over Fermanagh but is listed for a first appearance at Croke Park.

Derry and Dublin were both promoted at the end of the regular season.I

It was Rory Gallagher’s side who eked out a 1-11 to 0-13 victory when the sides met at Celtic Park early next month.

The Dubs went six points clear early in the second half but a goal from Niall Toner and the influence of Gareth McKinless swung a game won by Brendan Rogers’ late point.

Sunday’s game will be followed by Mayo’s clash with Connacht rivals Galway in the Division One final at 4pm.
