Saval and Longstone bid to keep senior championship dream alive

When Saval take on Longstone in the Down Senior Football Championship on Thursday night (6:30) they will be bidding to keep their season alive.

The men in green have been bolstered by the return of Danny Hughes who spent the past two seasons in charge of Newry Shamrocks.

It is do or die for both sides with Hughes’ former team mate at inter-county level Mark Poland lining out for ‘Stone.

Saval fell to Clonduff in the first round while Longstone were sent to the backdoor by Loughinisland.
