Harbinson set to assess goalkeeping options

Colm Fleming will line out between the sticks for Antrim on Sunday as they face Antrim having previously played outfield for the Saffron’s.

After Chris Kerr announced his retirement at the end of the 2018 season, the mainstay number one of eleven years left Harbinson with a huge gap to fill.

Two of the Antrim bosses options for the number jersey were in action last weekend with Padraig Nugent playing in the loss to Monaghan in Clones while Andrew Hasson lined out for Queen’s in their loss to Donegal in Ballybofey.

“Like most county managers, we’re using the McKenna Cup to look at all the players in our panel,” said Harbinson.

“The team that went to Clones featured seven players who had never played for Antrim before.

“At the minute we are still in the development stage and we want to try and get experience for these guys and get them used to playing at this level.”
