Lavey and Termon gear up for Ulster decider

fonaCAB St.Paul’s Ulster Minor Football Tournament

Lavey (Derry) Vs Termon (Donegal)

New Year’s Day, 1pm, St.Paul’s

No one would have predicted this pairing when the action kicked off, given that it is twenty years since a Donegal club competed in the final of this prestigious competition.

In fact, it was Termon’s last four dismissal of pre-tournament favourites on Boxing Day, Kilcoo that really laid down a marker.

Derry clubs are no strangers to winning this competition and have dominated in recent years first, it was Glen before that all-conquering Bellaghy side hammered Crossmaglen in last years final.

This one has a different edge to it with an astute Lavey team littered with a series of Downey’s and other fine footballers.

Their Donegal opponents have no shorter of physical edge and showed their undoubted ability by beating Kilcoo.

This one is sure to live up to it’s billing and get the New Year off to a perfect start, Lavey will be favourites but, Termon have been known to debunk that tag in the past.
