McCrory does his talking off the pitch

Aidan McCrory says sledging hasn’t been a factor for him in Tyrone’s hotly contested battles with Donegal

EXPERIENCED Tyrone defender Aidan McCrory admits that he has no personal recollection of any verbal jousting with Donegal from past meetings, but is aware that it probably goes on.

The two counties have developed a fierce rivalry over the course of the last eight seasons, their many encounters brimming with flashpoints and unsavoury incidents.

More of the same could be witnessed at Clones this Sunday in the Ulster semi-final, especially with so much on the line.

McCrory has played in many of those fractious affairs of recent times against the Tir Chonaill county but the unflappable Errigal Ciaran man can’t recall any sledging which got him especially riled.

It depends on the context. I never had an issue with it. No-one’s ever said anything to me and I’ve never bothered saying anything to anyone else. But I can’t say that for everyone.

“There could be instances out there where maybe someone has said something. Everything has to be taken on its own merit but as far as I’m concerned I’ve never had an issue with it.”
