Last eight battle it out for semi final spots in Monaghan JFC

MONAGHAN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER FINALS

KILLANNY V EIRE OG

Saturday, Castleblayney, 3pm

Killanny are one of just two teams remaining in the Junior Championship that have yet to experience defeat and that confidence and momentum may just be enough to guide them through to the last four.

Verdict: Killanny

ORAM V DRUMHOWAN

Saturday, Castleblayney, 5pm

Drumhowan are coming into this off the back of a 15-point hammering to Currin, while Oram were the team to beat in Group 2. Oram will carry the weight of the favourites tag into this one but that shouldn’t disrupt their focus.

Verdict: Oram

CLONES V ROCKCORRY

Sunday, Scotstown, 1.30pm

Clones drew with Killanny in the last round of the group stages but outside of that had a winning campaign. Likewise, Rockcorry won three of their four outings and that will make for a really entertaining tussle.

Verdict: Clones

SCOTSTOWN V CURRIN

Sunday, Pairc Sheain Mhic Dhiarmada, 4.30pm

Scotstown were the only team to defeat Oram in Group 2 and that belief should hold them in good stead this weekend. Currin experienced a couple of good wins in the group stages but could be up against it here.

Verdict: Scotstown
