Ryan Wylie has returned to the starting line up for Monaghan as they host Roscommon in a do or die battle. Whoever loses Saturday’s showdown will exit the championship and see their season come to an end.
Garbiel Bannigan has made one change to the team that lost out to Mayo by the minimum of margins, also at St Tiernach’s Park two weeks ago, with injuries forcing his hand.
Wylie comes in for the injured Ryan McAnespie, who left the fray early on the last day out. Stephen O’Hanlon didn’t feature at all against Andy Moran’s charges, but has been named among the subs, as has McAnespie.
Stephen Mooney and Max Maguire impressed against the Westerners, hitting a goal and a two-pointer respectively and they will hope to provide that extra punch off the bench again if and when required.
The Connacht champions, who lost to Tyrone in the opening round of the All-Ireland series, gained the upper hand over the Farney County during the National League, winning by six-points in the end.
