Harte and Devlin have their tenure in Louth extended

FORMER Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has had his tenure as Louth manager extended to the end of the 2025 season.

It will take the Errigal Ciaran man into his 22nd year in inter-county management, with Assistant Gavin Devlin also having his two year term extended.

Devlin, who won two All-Ireland senior medals under Harte coached Sleacht Néill to the 2019 Derry SFC title.

‘Horse’ will mix his duties this season with his role as Pomeroy manager.

Louth won promotion from Division Four last season and need a point from their clash with Wicklow in Aughrim to secure a spot in Division Two for 2023.

There is the potential to face his native Tyrone next season, with the All-Ireland champions currently in the relegation zone ahead of Sunday’s trip to Killarney.
