2026 College Football All-Star team revealed

MACRORY Cup winners Abbey CBS, Newry, have earned three College All-Star awards. They ended a 20-year wait to get their hands on the trophy, defeating St Patrick’s Academy, Dungannon after a replay.

Team captain Diarmuid O’Rourke, man of the match in the replay, and his school mates Fergus Toale and Keelan McEntee, make up the entire half back line. The trio are also crucial members of the Armagh u-20 side competing in the Ulster semi-final tomorrow night.

Liam McGeary is another Orchard County representative and he is also named at centre half forward in the All-Star team. He was a key man for Dungannon and was named as the man of the match in the drawn MacRory Cup final.

Eoin Duffy (St Colman’s, Newry) and Shea Loughran (St Paul’s, Bessbrook) are another two of Barry O’Hagan’s side that has been selected on the All-Star team. Duffy joins his older brother Ryan, who earned an award in 2023.

Abbey V.S Donegal hold the goalkeepers position with Lewis McCaughan claiming the number one jersey. Tomás Carr of Abbey V.S is also named on the team at midfield, with Eoghan O’Neill at full back.

The corner back spots go to Cian Rafferty of Patrician Carrickmacross and Eoghan Conway of Dean Maguirc Carrickmore while Lumen Christi, Derry’s Chris McCullagh is at midfield.

Ross Austin of St Louis’ Kilkeel and St Patrick’s Academy, Lisburn’s Dara Campbell take up the wing forward spots while J.J Higgins of Aquinas Belfast, man of the match in the MacLarnon final, completes the line-up.
