Banagher annonce Paul Bradley as their new manager

By Michael McMullan

BANAGHER have appointed Paul Bradley as their new senior football manager for the 2023 season.

Bradley, a five-time senior championship winner with Sleacht Neill, stepped down after the years as the Emmet’s boss.

Sleacht Néill won their last senior title in 2020, his first season, followed by two county final defeats at the hands of Glen.

Banagher were intermediate champions in 2018 and were close to toppling eventual champions Magherafelt in the senior semi-final 12 months later.

The Derry league and championship formats have yet to be finalised, but Bradley won’t come up against his native club with Banagher among 13 teams in the 2023 intermediate grade.

Banagher and their neighbours Claudy have moved down from senior with parish rivals Craigbane moved up after their junior league and championship double.

Bradley backroom team has yet to be finalised.

Sleacht Néill have yet to announce who take over the vacancy he left after stepping down.
