Cavan v Monaghan behind closed doors? Do players want that?

Games behind closed doors could be an option that the GAA avail of later this  year in order to get matches played.

However, we wanted to know how the players themselves felt about playing behind closed doors?

We asked three men, Derry’s Niall Keenan, Monaghan’s Conor Boyle, and Cavan’s Thomas Galligan how they would feel about playing behind closed doors.

All three could see the positives and the negatives.

One of those negatives, was losing home advantage, and if games are being played behind closed doors then Cavan v Monaghan’s Ulster Championship could be played in front of a sparse crowd. Can you imagine that?

Thomas Galligan had an interesting take on the game in terms of how a clash at Clones would feel.

See what the three men decided in the current issue of Gaelic Life.
