Davy Fitzgerald steps own as Antrim senior hurling manager

By Michael McMullan

DAVY Fitzgerald has stepped down as the Antrim senior hurling manager after two seasons at the helm.

The Clare All-Ireland winner’s final game was Sunday’s win over Carlow in the Joe McDonagh Cup.

After earlier defeats in the competition, Antrim failed to make it to the final despite a late run of three wins.

Antrim GAA must now commence the process of appointing his successor.
