Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action across all codes, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week.

There was a terrific win with Antrim hurlers in the Leinster Championship. Derry camogs booked their spot in the Ulster final.

On the football front, Armagh and Donegal were the winning formula to set up a first Ulster final between the counties since 2006.

Here is our selection…

1 NIALL MORGAN Tyrone

The best goalie in the game? Right now there can be no debate.

2 PETER MCGRANE Armagh

Enhanced his reputation once again against Down. Key turnovers and got up and down the pitch as usual.

3 FINN MCELROY Down

Highly rated in the Mourne County and showed why with a strong outing against Armagh.

4 BRENDAN MCCOLE Donegal

In brilliant form and did as well as you could against Darragh Canavan.

5 RYAN MCHUGH Donegal

Punched holes and brought energy in the thrilling win over Tyrone.

6 MATTIE DONNELLY Tyrone

Showing no signs of wear from his serious injury. Drove Tyrone on continually and unlucky to lose out.

7 AIDAN FORKER  Armagh

Easily his best performance of the season – including a sensational assist for Oisin O’Neill’s point

8 RIAN O’NEILL Armagh

Looked back to his best in the midfield role. Brought a real physical presence.

9 SEAN DUFFIN Tyrone

Really stood up to the challenge in the hard-fought win over Sligo.

10 CIARA GEOGHEGAN Armagh

Scoring prowess proved vital against Cavan at Kingspan Breffni.

11 SORCHA GORMLEY, Tyrone

Scored an unbelievable seven goals for the Tyrone Minor ladies.

12 JAMES MCNAUGHTON Antrim

As well as the scoring, he worked and worked and worked against Wexford.

13 NIALL O’DONNELL Donegal

Some silky scores against Tyrone, the player is now a key man for Donegal and Jim McGuinness.

14  ÁINE BARTON Derry

Scored heavily as Derry secured an Ulster final spot at the expense of Down.

15 SEAN CORRIGAN Fermanagh

The experienced attacker ran riot against Warwickshire.
