Gaelic Life team of the week

AFTER another weekend of action across all codes, here is our latest Gaelic Life Team of the Week.

It took extra-time, every sinew and then penalties for Donegal to take an Ulster title against an Armagh team who offered so much.

Tyrone u-20s continued their adventure, there was camogie final action with other Ulster teams excelling in the Tailteann Cup and various hurling championship grades.

Here is our selection…

1 SHAUN PATTON Donegal

The penalty shoot-out her for Donegal as they claimed the Anglo Celt.

2 CLARE MCKILLOP Antrim

Some last-ditch defending helped keep Derry out in their narrow provincial final win.

3 RYAN MCEVOY Down

Strong, sturdy performance as Down dominated Limerick.

4 CHÉ CULLEN Fermanagh

Got up for a super early score as Fermanagh eased past Wicklow.

5 ERIN COULTER Antrim

Player of the Match as Antrim won the Ulster Senior Camogie title at Derry’s expense.

6 RICHIE MULLAN   Derry

Swept up a mountain of ball in their impressive win over London.

7 PEADAR MOGAN Donegal

A real bundle of energy as always, especially when some team-mates were struggling.

8 CONOR O’NEILL  Tyrone

Caught the eye around the middle as Tyrone’s u-20s booked a final spot.

9 MICHAEL LANGAN Donegal

Moved onto Rian O’Neill and largely quelled his threat – no easy task.

10 CONOR TURBITT  Armagh

Enjoyed an electric patch in the Ulster final with three scores in a matter of minutes.

11 LARA DEVLIN Tyrone

A really special talent, and showed that once again against Down.

12 NIALL O’DONNELL Donegal

Popped up here, there and everywhere in a terrific display at Clones.

13 OISÍN GALLEN Donegal

Produced one of the best 35 minutes of Ulster SFC attacking play seen in a long, long time.

14 ANDREW MURNIN Armagh

Another excellent display, both offensively and in terms of work-rate, but no reward.

15 JENNIFER CURRY Armagh

Individual trophy to go with the team cup as Antrim had no answer to the experienced head’s class.
