McAree steps down from Scotstown

SCOTSTOWN are on the look-out for a new manager after Colin McAree stepped down from his post at the end of three successful seasons at the helm.

The former Farney minor boss, appointed in 2020, steered the club to back-t0-back senior titles before seeing his side lose out to Ballybay in this year’s decider.

McAree was in charge for the 202o success, the club’s 20th and retained the title 12 months later as part of the league an championship double.

He did finish on a winning note as Scotstown turned the tables on Ballybay in the league final earlier this month.

It comes after news of John McEntee being appointed as the new Inniskeen senior manager, taking over from Oisin McConville who has move into inter-county  management as Wicklow boss.
