THERE is a full round of fixtures in the Antrim Senior Football Championship with Round 2 of the group stages kicking into action this weekend.
Reigning champions Dunloy can make it two wins from two when they take on Glenravel on Saturday afternoon in Ballymena’s Quinn Park.
They romped to victory over Rossa who will hope to bounce back with victory against Tír na nÓg who drew with Glenravel in the first game.
Barry McCloskey, Tom McFerran and Keelan Molloy were the key scorers for Dunloy who are now the hunted after taking home the McNamee Cup last season.
Cargin were winners over St Brigid’s and can back that up against neighbours Moneyglass this weekend.
The game of the weekend will see St Brigid’s host St Gall’s in Musgrave Park with the latter buoyed after backing up a consistent league campaign with victory over Moneyglass. This will be a tougher test of their credentials.
League champions Creggan will have the bit between their teeth when they travel to St Paul’s after losing at home to St John’s in the first game.
The Johnnies take on All Saints this weekend in the only game between teams who both won on the opening day.
Portglenone will be fancied to see off Sarsfields in the Bear Pit to secure their place in the quarter-finals after having beaten Lámh Dhearg.
Aghagallon beat the Paddies in the first game but will be asked more questions this weekend against Lámh Dhearg.
The top two teams from all four groups, after the three round robin games, advance to the quarter-finals with the bottom teams then sucked into relegation semi-finals.
