SHANE O’Neills history-maker Aimee Mackin has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for September 2026.
The Armagh star, who is also nominated for a TG4 All-Star and the 2026 TG4 Senior Players’ Player of the Year award, celebrated a landmark club success recently.
The lethal 29-year-old attacker scored a remarkable tally of 1-12 in the Armagh Senior Championship final on Saturday September 26th, as Shane O’Neills claimed the title for the very first time.
That remarkable individual display followed on from a semi-final performance against Carrickcruppen, where Aimee registered 3-5.
The Shane O’Neills season continues next Sunday when they travel to Cavan champions Knockbride for their opening game in the round-robin phase of the AIB Ulster Senior Club Championship.
That game has a 2pm start at St Bridget’s Park in Knockbride.
Remarkably, this is the fifth time that Aimee has claimed The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award.
She was a previous recipient in April 2023, July 2021, March 2019 and April 2015.
Kate was presented with her award by Ina Lazar, Assistant Director of Sales, The Croke Park Hotel.
