Tailteann Cup draw will take place this weekend

THE Tailteann Cup Preliminary Quarter-Final Draw will take place as part of Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio 1 shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday evening.

Ulster rivals Antrim and Fermanagh clash this weekend to decide top spot, while Down and Meath will also lock horns at the top of their section.

Last year’s runners-up Cavan will take on Offaly to decide top spot in another group.

For each of the four fixtures, a 2nd placed team from the Group Stages will be drawn at Home to play against either New York or one of the three best 3rd placed teams from the group stages.

The draw is subject to teams not meeting a team they played in the group stages.

The Preliminary Quarter Finals will be played on the weekend of June 10th/11th.

The Preliminary Quarter-Final winners will move on to the Tailteann Cup Quarter-Finals (weekend of June 17th/18th) where each of the Group Winners will have a Home Quarter Final against a Preliminary Quarter-Final winner.

The draw will be presided over by CCCC Chair Derek Kent and Feargal McGill, GAA Director of Club, Player and Games Administration.
