Team news: Louis Kelly out as Monaghan name their team for Sunday’s Ulster final

By Michael McMullan

MONAGHAN manager Gabriel Bannigan has named his side for Sunday’s showdown with Armagh.

Bannigan announced their squad via weblink at two pre-Ulster events held ahead of the weekend’s final.

An Achilles injury has ruled out Louis Kelly but Gary Mohan and Ryan Wylie have been listed in the squad.

Wylie has missed both championship games to date while Mohan has been out since the Mayo league encounter.

U20 star Max Maguire has also been drafted into the squad ahead of the Clones showpiece.

Bobby McCaul excelled in the semi-final win over Derry but has been listed alongside Jack McCarron and David Garland on the bench.

The other player out of contention was Fionan Carolan who hasn’t played since the last league game against Donegal in Clones.

Monaghan are aiming for a first title since 2015 and face an Armagh side hoping to end their famine after losing the last three finals.
