ANTRIM SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS

Dunloy v St Brigid’s

Saturday, Dunsilly, 7pm

DUNLOY have landed at the semi-final stage in commanding with Seaan Elliott now back in the fold. They are still without Deaglan Smyth. Conal Cunning was out as they bagged five goals against Lámh Dhearg. St Brigid’s have found their way to the last four under new manager Cathal Murray. Ronan McGrady and Patrick Finnegan were key against the Johnnies. The champions will be a tough nut to crack.

Cargin v Rossa

Sunday, Corrigan Park, 4pm

RONAN Devlin’s side laid down a marker of their title credentials with their convincing win over league champions Creggan. In James Laverty and Conhuir Johnson, they have players to build a midfield diamond around. Rossa were the story of the quarter-finals with the resilience to dig themselves from a tricky spot to victory over Portglenone. Dominic McEnhill and Cormac McGettigan are capable of landing big scores.

Verdict: Cargin

ANTRIM INTERMERDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS

Aldergrove v Ahoghill

Friday, Dunsilly, 7pm

THIS is a tough game to call between unbeaten Aldergrove and an Ahoghill side who tested Naomh Éanna’s underbelly more than most. James O’Connell’s knack of landing two pointers will make Ahoghill a dangerous opponent. Lewis Smyth, Cormac and Seamus McGarry have been on form for Aldergrove.

Verdict: Ahoghill

Naomh Éanna v Gort na Mona

Saturday, Glenavy, 4pm

AFTER winning the Division Two league title, Naomh Éanna have backed it up with a consistent championship. In a strange format, only two teams made the knock-out stages. The Hightown men have ticked all the boxes so far. Gort na Mona’s only defeat came at the hands of Aldergrove and they’ll need their biggest performance this weekend.

Verdict: Naomh Éanna

ANTRIM JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS

Rasharkin v Éire Óg

Saturday, Dreen, 4pm

RASHARKIN beat Éíre Óg twice on their way to landing the league title and will be fancied to book a final spot. They were forced to dig deep against Pearses but it will have learned from that. Éire Óg were winners of Laochra Loch Lao and it will have them primed.

Verdict: Rasharkin

O’Donnell’s v Ardoyne

Sunday, Cliftonville, 2pm

ARDOYNE finished top of their group and had a steady league campaign that included two wins over Rasharkin. They face a O’Donnell team who were among the contenders. This will be a tight game with Ardoyne fancied to shade it.

Verdict: Ardoyne

SENIOR CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS

Dunloy v Ballycastle

Saturday, Glenravel, 1pm

DUNLOY topped the group, are unbeaten and are the only team to beat the champions. Ballycastle found the going tough in the previous meeting and will need a significant change in fortunes to cause a shock.

Verdict: Dunloy

Loughgiel v Cushendall

Saturday, Dunloy, 4pm

CUSHENDALL have been climbing the ladder in recent seasons and are knocking on the door of another final. That said, it’s hard to see past the pedigree of the Shamrocks.

Verdict: Loughgiel
