THROUGHOUT Ulster, from a coaching and games perspective, one of our aims is to develop self – sufficient and sustainable clubs.

The transition from underage level to senior level requires a great deal of effort, organisation, dedication and planning by many people.

At this stage of the playing season the focus should be on continually assisting your coaches through formal and informal coach education workshops.

Developing the coaches in your club is as important as developing your players. Consistent coach development should be the cornerstone in any club coaching plan or structure.

One way of achieving this is by setting up a community of practice within your club where the coaches can share ideas and best practice with each other. This is a safe learning environment where all the coaches within the club should have a shared vision in terms of player and coach development.

This is the ideal time of the year leading into championship preparations to upskill your coaches.

We are seeking expressions of interest from clubs who would like to avail of our informal ‘coach the coaches’ workshops.
