Niall Kane’s last free of the game confirmed Kilcoo’s return to the Down county final. Warrenpoint, reduced to 13 men by the end of the contest, pushed the champions all the way. Ceilum Doherty scored the Kilcoo goal, who led 0-8 to 1-3 at half-time. Ross McGarry and Alan Davidson scored the Warrenpoint goals.

Burren progressed to the final of the Down Senior Football Championship after a ten point win over Mayobridge.
An early three goal blitz in the second half sealed the deal with impact sub Eamon Toner scoring a brace and Liam Kerr scoring the third goal.

Donegal SFC quarter-finals (Saturday)

Marty O’Reilly and Martin Gallagher scored the first half goals for Sean MacCumhaill’s, the first side through to the Donegal Senior Football Championship semis. The winners burst out of the blocks early on in Letterkenny and led 2-5 to 0-6 at the break. St Michael’s outscored their opponents in the second half but were unable to reduce their eventual three point deficit.

Glenswilly led 0-4 to no score early on with Garry McFadden prominent among the scorers. Michael Murphy also fouind early scores to see his team in front 0-7 to a point at the break. Four Masters improved after the break, but Glenswilly were always comfortable.

Edendork became the first name into the semi-finals, edging out Galbally by two points on Friday evening. Darren Curry, with 0-6, top scored for the winners, while free-taker Sean Murphy scored eight points for Galbally.
