McKvr launches Clifford II – The collection built for the dreamers and the schoolyard heroes

BUILDING on the success of the first Clifford Collection, McKvr returns with a new range, a new campaign, and a young Irish player ready to step up.

McKvr, one of Ireland’s fastest-growing sportswear brands, today launches Clifford II, the second chapter of its landmark partnership with Kerry footballer David Clifford.

Following the success of the original Clifford Collection which became one of the most talked-about Irish sportswear launches of 2025, Clifford II expands the range with new training and leisurewear pieces across both the men’s and women’s lines.

The Campaign

Every kid who plays GAA dreams about it. The kick in the dying minutes. The crowd on its feet. Stepping up when it matters and owning the moment. For a generation of young Irish players, that dream looks like David Clifford.

Clifford II is built for those kids. The campaign follows Casey, a young Irish player at her schoolyard, as she steps into Clifford’s boots and plays out his greatest moments alongside her classmates. She solos the ball. She draws the foul. She gets back to her feet. And she lines up the kick that has made Clifford’s silhouette one of the most recognisable images in Irish sport.

It’s the dream every kid has had with a ball in their hands.

Where the original Clifford campaign, Never Once, told the story of the work behind greatness. The thousand kicks, the early mornings, the standards that separate the good from the great, Clifford II shows what those kids are dreaming of when they put the work in. The moment they get to own it themselves, to own every battle.

Set in an Irish schoolyard and local GAA pitch, the hero film features county players Oisin Conaty (Armagh GAA), Aimee Mackin (Armagh LGFA), Ronan Wallace (Westmeath GAA) and Rory Beggan (Monaghan GAA), with voiceover from David McIntyre. The video closes with a cameo from David Clifford, a quiet nod from the player every one of these kids aspire to be like.

Padraic McKeever, Managing Director, McKvr said: “Every kid who picks up a ball dreams of being the player who wins the game. With Clifford II, we wanted to turn the lens on the next generation. Casey, and every young player in the film, represents the kids across Ireland who watch David and dream of having their own moment one day. We hope this campaign inspires them to keep working, keep playing, and to believe that moment can be theirs.”
