THERE has been another twist in the Fermanagh LGFA Senior Championship, with the Tempo-Kinawley semi-final pushed back to Sunday following an appeal to Croke Park’s Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA).
The game, which has already been postponed and refixed several times, will now throw in at 4pm on Sunday (October 4).
The original fixture was due to take place last Saturday but was postponed following the death of Fr John Halton in Tempo, with all club GAA activity suspended.
It was then refixed for Wednesday (September 30) before being moved to tonight (Friday) in Roslea.
Following Tempo’s appeal, heard at Croke Park this morning, the semi-final has now been moved to Sunday.
The decision also means the Fermanagh LGFA Senior Football Championship Final has had to be rescheduled.
Derrygonnelly booked their place in the decider with victory over Lisnaskea and were originally due to play the final this weekend.
However, with the semi-final now taking place on Sunday, the final has been pushed back one week to Sunday, October 11.
The DRA is the GAA’s independent tribunal for legal and disciplinary disputes and deals with appeals and challenges relating to decisions made by the Association’s internal bodies.
The latest development brings an end, for now, to a series of changes to the eagerly anticipated Tempo-Kinawley clash, with the two sides finally set to meet at 4pm on Sunday.
