ULSTER University pulled out all the stops to keep their Sigerson Cup hopes alive with a 2-11 to 1-13 win ATU Donegal on Sunday in Ballinderry.
Victory sets up a home clash with UCD on Wednesday night, a repeat of their league quarter-final won by the Dubliners.
The game was called off three times last week before it was refixed for Sunday.
It was Maxi Curran’s side who looked like advancing when they led by eight points before UU’s comeback.
Goals from Andrew Gilmore and Conor Cush from a late penalty pulled Barry Dillon’s side over the finish line.
The winners of this week’s four Round 3 games will advance to the quarter-finals with Queen’s and St Mary’s already there.
