PGthePT: Excited about 2020

By the time you’re reading this I’ll likely have just let the deep clean crew out the door.

Times have changed, we need to be as safe as possible to make you and our entire community feel comfortable coming back into the gym! I always thought cleaning was a pretty straight forward operation, mop and bucket, spray and wipe but we’ve just had the whole placed fogged with some next level technology adhesive that sticks to all surfaces and kills germs on touch for the next 30 odd days. Crazy stuff but this is the world we live in today and we don’t want to take any risks!

That, along with our training pods and our change from large classes to small group personal training we’re feeling like we’re ready to come out of lockdown fighting. One big shift that we’ve put in place is the creation of our Revolution Training package. Because large group classes are no longer a possibility, as well as having seen massive success in the past with our small group personal training sessions, we’ve came up with a single training program which encompasses all the best parts of the gym experience.

At the core of Revolution is our three themed personal training groups. Strength – Conditioning – Movement. Our strength sessions will follow a six-week program working on developing all aspects of traditional strength movements and the techniques required to perform them to the best of each members ability.

Our conditioning sessions will be higher intensity mixtures of big compound movements and cardio machines like the Ski-Erg, Rower and Air Bike, plus everyone’s favourite, the prowler! Our movement sessions will have a monthly goal, building toward mastering a bodyweight movement or movement pattern, ie. the pistol squat, the chin up, the headstand. As well as focusing a lot on stretching and creating pain free bodies!

To complement this we’ll still be running small class sessions, yoga, pilates, boxing and spinning. We understand the need for flexibility in your schedule so all of the above sessions will be run at multiple times on a daily basis to ensure all our members get a chance to avail of the training services we’re providing, and even at that we’ll be supplementing our in-person training with online support!

We’re in a unique position of not only having a top class facility and coaching team but also having fantastic physio team on site, and our Revolution members will have discounted access to both them and our in house sports masseur! They’ll be leading our more specialised revolution sessions for injury rehab and pre/post natal exercise.

Even with all of the above I’m hardly scratching the surface of what we’re bringing to the table. To say I’m excited about the rest of 2020 is an understatement! If you’re based in Tyrone, Fermanagh or Monaghan there’s a good chance we’re a short drive away so if you want to revolutionise the way you see fitness, get in touch and we’ll lay out the roadmap for you to hit your health and fitness goals!
