Pauric Grimes dealt with the issue of recovery in his column in this week’s Gaelic Life.

At this stage of the GAA calendar, most players are just getting back into competitive action, but those who are recovering from injury will be dealing with a frustrating time.

“You’re being asked to do exercises that the previous week you could have done it in your sleep, yet today it seems like the most difficult thing in the world.

“All the while your team mates are going full steam around you.

“Rehabilitating from an injury is as  much a mental battle as it is a physical one.

“The body is a wonderful thing though, if you put the work in, it will heal.”

Grimes goes on to explain how players must deal with these challenges.
